About Alicia

Alicia Medina is a Trusted Agent at Vero Beach Regional Airport. Alicia is a Fort Pierce resident, where she was born and raised. She graduated from Fort Pierce Central High School in 2014. Alicia started working for the St. Lucie County, Florida, Department of Health in 2016 as a financial counselor. In 2018, she moved to the Respiratory Clinic, assisting with tuberculosis treatment in St. Lucie for the Health Department. As a frequent flyer, Alicia always visited Fort Worth, Texas, to see her family and friends as her home away from home. Flying into Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport piqued her interest in aviation, where she became a trusted agent working at their badging office in 2022. As a new employee in the airport industry, she learned the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) badging process and realized its importance to airport security. Issuing many badges to airport staff, airline workers, and law enforcement, she enjoyed her job and the people she met along the way. As much as she loved Texas and DFW, Alicia moved back to Fort Pierce, Florida, in June 2023, where she worked for the Martin County Health Department as a staff assistant until joining Vero Beach Regional Airport in October.

 

Alicia is responsible for issuing, activating, and deactivating access media badges for areas in VRB airport; capturing biometric identifiers for reviewing and maintaining criminal history record checks (CHRC)/background checks; and auditing media access control of tenants at VRB airport. Ensuring compliance with airport and TSA regulations, and other security-related issues. Alicia is also preparing for the upcoming implementation of digital SIDA training through Digicast, helping modernize the airport's training process and move away from traditional methods. The badging office is also working toward implementing a new IDMS system, which will bring additional changes to the badging process and allow the office to gradually move away from paper applications.
