The Vero Beach Regional Airport utilizes access control methods throughout its many facilities to ensure safe and secure operations of its airfield.  With this in mind, the Airport operates a badging office which facilitates access control requests through an individual badging process for access ID media. The individual badging process for this access ID media includes an application and vetting through designated clearing houses with a passport style photo.

 

The level to which an individual is vetted depends on the level of access requested and to where on the airfield. The individuals access ID media is able to access multiple locations throughout the airport and the ID media expires yearly on the individuals birthday. The access ID media also physically displays the individuals authority to escort others on the airfield and their ability to drive on movement areas.
