Hello
William Howard is the Assistant Director at Vero Beach Regional Airport. William brings with him a love for the aerospace and aviation industries, a graduate degree in business administration, and an understanding of the airport as an epicenter for the community's job opportunities.
In the fall of 2014, Mr. Howard began his graduate program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he earned a Master’s in Business Administration. While active in the graduate program, William engaged in an internship at Vero Beach Municipal Airport prior to the establishment of airline service and its name change to Regional. While an intern, he worked to optimize on the Airport’s Minimum Standards for aeronautical properties. At Embry-Riddle, William participated in several campus organizations such as Unmanned Aircraft Systems Technology, Medical Emergency Disaster Relief, and WIKD 102.5FM. After graduation, he worked part-time at the Airport as a Terminal Attendant until moving to California for full-time employment as a management consultant for restaurants. Although the employment opportunity in California was an excellent experience, William found himself missing the aviation industry.
Shortly after returning to Vero Beach in 2018, he began his career as the Airport Operations Manager, handling airport security, project management, capital planning, and public relations. As of 2019, William was promoted to Assistant Director. Still handling the aforementioned topics, along with several others, Mr. Howard also leads marketing/advertising, economic development, and commercial leasing, among other airport operations. Before February 2023, William helped write the security program that enabled Breeze Airways to conduct its inaugural operations out of Vero Beach Regional Airport.
William has recently expanded his professional credentials by completing the Certified Member accreditation through AAAE and the Lean Six Sigma for Lean Managers certification program from the Lean Six Sigma Institute.
